Am I the only one that prefers the Charger Hellcat over the Challenger?
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:46 |

Nope, I'd take the four door.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:46 |

No.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:46 |

I'd take either one.
Hell I'll take any car with "hell" in it's name.

Nope. I think in a sedan, its much more astonishing/sleeper. Just paint it black, and forget the gold wheels.

No, I'd also rather have my big fat american death machine be slightly practical. Not like the charger is that much bigger than the challenger...

This will look ace in black.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:48 |

Yes you manual transmission hater.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:48 |

I prefer it in every way, except for the lack of that third pedal. It's completely inexcusable.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:49 |

Isn't the Charger also slightly narrower?
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:49 |

If it wasn't for the Hellcat hood on the Charger I might like it more, I don't like the hood and front air dam. I know that they are necessary for the massive engine but I'm just not a fan. It's still awesome though.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:49 |
|
Nope, I do too.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:50 |

I've never been a huge Charger fan myself.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:51 |

no idea, not on Wikipedia and I'm too lazy to look further. I know they look pretty similar in person
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:51 |
|
Yes!
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:52 |

In what way? The Challenger is lighter, smaller, cheaper and comes with a manual. The back seat is even big enough for adults to sit in relative comfort. You're just less likely to pass as a cop.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:52 |

4 doors' more hoes
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:53 |
|
It's slightly narrower but it's also longer, taller and heavier. And no manual.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:54 |
|
Hell no. I'll take the Charger. Blast through the desert with four people in comfort.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:55 |

I don't know. In this case, the sedan just appeals more to me.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:55 |

This over the Challenger. Always.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:56 |

I don't like picking favorites that much, so I'd take both.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:56 |
|
The only downside I see.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 21:59 |

Charger? I thought Oppo agreed to start calling it the "Polara" in an attempt to ignore the fact that it's a Charger with two more doors than a Charger has any right having >_______<
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:00 |

Im surprised that the press shots were of a white Charger. What the hell they think it is? A marshmallow?
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:01 |

Polara Hellcat sounds nice.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:01 |

Nope. I prefer the Charger styling over the Challenger, but the Charger is only available with an autotragic transmission.
Apparently, the 8spd trans calibration is so good that we shouldn't even worry about that.

The Charger appeals to me too, and it's definitely the better real world choice. But when I want a muscle car, I want one that screams Fuck You to everyone else on the road. The Charger can't do that with the kids in the back. Maybe I'm just pissed that it still doesn't have a manual. Chevy caved and gave the SS a stick after one year, so we know there is demand for it.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:02 |

Goddamn. I hadn't really paid much attention to it until now.
Nope, you're not alone.

The ZF box is supposed to be amazing so it's not all bad.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:06 |

It looks fantastic.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:07 |

Yes, because I still hate this line right here. >:O
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:08 |
|
I actually kinda like it.

![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:09 |

To me, it always made the car look like it was bottoming out or otherwise sagging in the middle.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:26 |
|
I would take the Charger.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:27 |

neither have a manual in hellcat form as far as i know
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:28 |
|
The Challenger comes with the 8 speed auto or a revised Viper 6 speed manual.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:28 |
|
The Charger SRT8 is awesome IMO. It's like an American E63.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:28 |
|
If you configure a Challenger Hellcat on the SRT site, it gives you the option between a six speed manual and the eight speed automatic.

It would feel great having both in the garage.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:49 |

What a pleasant surprise
![]() 09/18/2014 at 22:50 |

I prefer the Charger for the simple fact that you could a black or white one, throw a small pushbar with a couple of led foglights mounted on it on the front, and most people will get out of your way on the interstate.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 23:44 |
|
No, I'd rather have this. I like both, but I want the sedan more I think. I mean, I would't necessarily buy either but if I had to choose...Charger. In dark purple. Or this white.
![]() 09/18/2014 at 23:46 |
|
The ZF 8 speed is one of the great creations of human kind, you won't miss the manual. It fires off shifts exactly when you command it to, and insanely fast.

4DR > 2DR. Also I used to have a Challenger and the visibility is total shit. The charger is way easier to drive because the windows aren't just there for decoration.
So many times with the challenger did I back out of a parking spot and was literally gambling with the life of the car. "I sure hope there is no cars coming 'cause I can't see shit!"
![]() 09/19/2014 at 09:34 |
|
Nope. You are not alone.
![]() 09/19/2014 at 10:00 |

I would take the Charger. The Challenger is a bloated memory of past glory, like Val Kilmer at a "Top Gun" cast reunion. While I still think the current Charger usurpts a glorious name of the past on a sedan, the car itself is bad ass.
![]() 09/19/2014 at 12:03 |

It's more practical yet still batshit crazy. That's why I love it.

HellCamry?
HellLexus SC430?
Helliant Robin?
